The pastor is raising a valid issue in questioning Obama's religious beliefs. However, a church sign is probably not the place for that. Likewise, I agree with him that there is nothing inherently racially-charged about what he said. It is the protestors who are actually making the race-based assumption - that the pastor is attacking Obama because he is black. It would be like a church sign that read, "Hillary: Just four more years of Monica," then someone accusing the writer of being racist against whites. I agree, though, the whole thing is a little idiotic.
